Our Policy

Food Store Direct sells perishable food products. Because of the nature of these products, our return and refund policies are designed to protect both you and the producer.


Perishable Products (Meat, Seafood, Frozen Goods)

Due to food safety requirements, we cannot accept returns on perishable food products once they have been delivered.

However, if your order arrives:

  • Damaged in transit (packaging compromised, thawed, spoiled)
  • Incorrect items (wrong product shipped)
  • Missing items (partial order received)

Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:

  1. Your order number
  2. Photos of the product and packaging
  3. A description of the issue

We will work with the producer to issue a replacement or full refund for the affected items.


Non-Perishable Products (Sauces, Honey, Coffee, Dry Goods)

For non-perishable items that arrive damaged or defective, contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange a replacement or refund.

Unopened, undamaged non-perishable items may be eligible for return within 14 days. Contact us to arrange a return. The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.


Cancellations

  • Before shipping: Orders can be cancelled for a full refund if they have not yet been packed and shipped by the producer.
  • After shipping: Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled. See the perishable policy above if there is an issue upon delivery.
